Twenty minutes – and more than once a week – inside an infrared sauna is really all that is needed to enjoy the benefits of sauna. But did you know that under the term “infrared sauna”, there are actually different shapes and sizes and price tags?
Among the portable infrared sauna, there are bags, blankets, or domes that you can use on a floor, a bed, or a massage table. They completely cover your body from the neck down, but leave your head exposed to the air outside the sauna.
Bags and blankets portable infrared sauna can be folded or rolled up like a sleeping bag or comforter, making them very convenient to use. On the other hand, infrared sauna domes are made out of rigid plastic and cannot be folded, but they stand up vertically and can be stored in between uses.

Cabinets are also a portable infrared sauna model. The cabinets are a large plastic box with a hole at the top to expose the user’s head.
The user enters the sauna through a hinged door in the box and sits in a chair inside the box.
Advantages of this model type is that it typically has a fan inside to improve air circulation, it easy to clean and can be wheeled from place to place.
However, you might find it bothersome because of its size.
Foldable box-type portable infrared sauna that look a lot like the cabinet model, except that it can fold to an incredibly small when you’re done with it. Many of them look liked briefcases when they are folded. They are composed of a collapsible chair and foldable materials.
If you’re constantly suffering from rheumatism and other body pains, you might want to buy a portable infrared sauna. It doesn’t take up as much as space as a cabinet sauna, but it is just as powerful.
